Belated update?
I did another Tumblr hiatus so hello. I might not be around THAT much more because I still have homework and it's pretty square in the middle of NaNoWriMo now, but maybe I can just....
I met a friend in chemistry class this semester. I got him into Homestuck, which was fun. He gave me some reading too (and it can be classified as a tome IMO) but it's very different and if I could just replace my in-bed phone-using with it I'd probably finish it much faster. My parents are out of town right now and he's been giving me a lot of rides but it's still pretty good. Also we're dating, which is sort of a change, I haven't done any of that in over a year.
I think I've also generally been making friends. Someone started an origami club at school and I'm gonna see how that works out. I'm unfortunately bad at names so in some cases I feel really awkward about some of them (and election day didn't necessarily make me feel a lot better about it either) but IDK it's sort of weird to think of how sociable I'm being.
Also if I keep it up this'll be my first college semester when I don't fail or drop a single class? Probably with a fairly solid B average, too. I could be embarrassed about how long it took to hit that (and how few classes I had to take for it to happen) but I think I'd rather be proud that it's happening at all. Next step is probably thinking about what I'm doing after, but I'm not gonna rush it if I can help it.
As for some creativity things: the Post on Sundays thing flopped fairly solidly. I do feel like I should try to do/post/complete more stuff, but I'm not sure I feel like figuring out exactly how just now. Maybe in December. (Maybe.)
Oh man and I noticed someone posted a Dear Yuletide letter in October and I thought, "Dang, I didn't sign up." For some reason I got used to some idea that sign-ups were usually in November? Was that true or did they change it? I don't know. I'm not even that sure what I'd write for, though, so it's probably for the best.
Anyway I'm having lots of fun with the original thing I'm doing for NaNo. Codename is TOWTA but that's pretty lame. Someday I will learn to just pick a working title like a normal person.
But in the meantime, my brother has his friend over and they are really loud. So loud. I couldn't hear myself think, and it was just one friend over and my brother. Two people. Can't think. It's pretty awful. I had to whine at the internet it's so awful.
OK yes back to writing. Hope everyone's doing well. Probably meant to be more chatty but felt like I couldn't until I did some stupid things. Sorry if I don't talk again until December.
