quadrantfest is that the first round closes tomorrow, they maybe there'll also be a new thing? So IDK I'm grasping the edge of my seat right now.
Except actually I just got majorly distracted because I remembered that it's Thursday and that means new Elementary (except it's on hiatus until the next season, yeah?) and Ava's Demon, and checking on the latter made it very apparent that I was wrong and the kickstarter doesn't start tomorrow it starts today!!!!
OMG I AM LAUGHING SO HARD AT THE $10K TIER! The "you can appear in the comic" thing seemed obvious enough, given the vast Homestuck overlap, but immortalized forever on the website and on the book and the full-paid weekend sketchjam and garden tea party and the fucking gold-plated Ava statue holy shit. (In other news, Michelle actually knows not to underestimate her fans and is starting with a fifth as many possible takers. Hussie raises frustrated fists at his past self for not doing that, nobody is surprised.)
The keys look awesome! I feel like 3D printing has been becoming A THING for a bit now, which is exciting I guess but I feel like I should look up more about the process. Still, the keys are an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME reward, and depending on my budgeting it's very likely that I'll be getting the "only the red key" reward. But, the bronze key would be so much cooler--and it comes with a panel print!
I do like the prints. If there's one thing I want, it is probably a print. (Actually it's the buttons, but those are only offered after $85, and I'm pretty sure I only want one of the other things offered on that one.) The art's just so nice, I don't even really put anything on my walls and I want it anyway. Maybe I can give it to Mom and she'll be amazed and have to read it too? Haha.
It does seem likely that there'll be more reward packs later--I know I shouldn't expect anything just because Homestuck precedent but it seems likely, I would suspect that of being a thing that this author would do. So maybe I should hold out for one of those--except actually, if I recall correctly, kickstarter donations can be changed before the actual thing runs its course. So I could start low and go up, if that seemed like a good idea. Either way, I think I'll be able to do something, and I want to, so this'll be fun and exciting, yeah?
