JulNoWriMo update
Jul. 4th, 2013 07:02 pmDay 4: 5221 words and it's seven in the evening. Guess I didn't really need to lower my wordcount that much, huh.
Got convinced to try the Scrivener demo offered for NaNo participants. Today I've been doing really well, but before I kept starting scenes and saving them for later which Scrivener definitely encouraged.
I'm running into walls regarding the universe here. It's set in a fantasy(?) world--not a high fantasy, really, but a bit of magic and a lot of geographic/political differences. For the most part it's OK (except that I'm going to have to figure out map-drawing at some point) but then I hit fantasy languages and I'm going kind of wild there. I mean not wild wild, but I have to cut myself off after a bit because I'm looking for resources for things that aren't actually relevant (yet).
HSWC Main round 1 entries are up, which is wonderful. I've read enough that I think I'm going to have to make my own bracket system just to figure out who the hell I'm voting for I mean seriously there are a lot of good ones here.
