Previously, I had been pretty Maggie. Maggie no. This isn't the time Maggie OMG can it please wait. I guess honestly I can't blame her all that much, though. Gil is--well, given the whole element theory, and then there's me and water....

But this update? Gil. Gil. Sitting there all robey with a friggin halo behind him. OMG you dork.

Honestly, I'm pretty along-for-the-ride on Ava's Demon. (And uh, everything ever.) And I'm not sure if "like" is the best word for my feelings on the world there; I suppose it is, with a disclaimer about how I'm pretty sure there's no place for me in it that I would both like and survive. Which doesn't completely make sense, given that the evil corporation/government that's into intense, school-involved propaganda isn't exactly a new concept, so I guess it's mostly just aesthetic.

But yeah I'm really enjoying it. I can't wait to see all of what happens. (Maybe. I'm pretty bad at handling bad endings, and I think this is a decent use of a non-perfect ending, so maybe I'll just be really horrible about the end. But I'll follow it to the end.)





Yes this is about the so-called "canon fantrolls"--which, by the way, I'm really mad about as a phrase. Fantrolls are inherently not canon, right? And the whole point of the ten thousand dollar tier was "your fantroll will become canon" so they're not fantrolls. Then again, I don't actually have a better term. (One-panel trolls? Fan-submitted trolls? Non-Hussie trolls? Off-Alternia(/Beforus) trolls?)

Anyway I basically adore.... well, Mierfa, anyway. What a cutie! Let me tell you, I have had many an embarrassing fictional character crush, and I'm pretty sure this is the most embarrassing. That or something about Amporas.

And let me tell you I am shipping Mierfa/Nektan pretty hard. Is there a fanclub for that? Can I start one? (Would that doom it to failure?) I mean I can't claim to be the expert on either of them, but it seems like they wouldn't usually associate with each others' type, to the point where they shouldn't be in the same square--Nektan's a pretty traditional seadweller-type, right? So why is he even bothering being on land? And Mierfa's just right there close enough to be an excuse that yeah I see them being a really unlikely but really great couple. (I'd probably go pale, but I'd want to see more stuff about them before going too solid on that.)

Also apparently there was an update since I started writing this so of course let me say that I am also really enjoying the cherub worldbuilding. Kind of reminded me that there was a fic that I was going to write that would benefit a lot from this information, but gosh I do have enough on my plate right now.
